Open Call 2017

Applications for our current open call for proposals are invited to run Knowledge Exchange Programmes taking place between August 2017 and March 2018. The deadline for applications is 19 May 2017. Full details can be found on our Call for Proposals page.

The next call will be launched in Autumn 2017 for programmes running in the first half of 2018. A specific theme for this call will be announced following our Governing Board meeting in July.

Autumn 2016 call - Learning from other places

The successful programmes address a range of topics including Restorative Justice, Leadership for Complex Challenges, Stigma in Childhood, Dementia Care, City Deals and Collaboration in the Craft Beer Sector

SUII impact programme

In 2016, we initiated a project to better understand how knowledge exchange projects, such as those sponsored by SUII, can help contribute to public policy and practice and best support the impact agenda. The findings from an online survey, workshop and telephone interviews have been collated into a compendium of lessons to inform the future design and delivery of SUII projects.

Case Study Booklet

 This booklet contains a selection of case studies from programmes funded in 2012/13 which illustrate the type and range of work supported by SUII. The programmes featured include work on human trafficking, physical activity among children, employee and community ownership and child death reviews.

SUII Evaluation Report

We recently carried out an evaluation which highlights the key outcomes and impact of SUII programmes funded between 2011 and 2013. The report identifies common results such as new collaborations, sustained networks, academic publications and additional research funding, as well as examples of programmes' impact on policy and practice.
